Forward copy of report on cow paddock in Woolloomooloo. Condition as disclosed is most unsatisfactory. Notes: Insp. of Nuisances. Reports: Albt Long, Act. Inspt. Paddock west side of Palmer St, ¼ac, said to be property of Mr Burdekin, let to Mrs O'Grady, Palmer St and Hugh Mulroy, Woolloomooloo St, licensed cow-keepers. No grass, covered in manure, carted away once a week, as 19 cows there day and night (except when taken in to be milked) should be cleaned more frequently. Visited both dairies, Mrs O'Grady is fairly clean and promised to limewash milkroom, Mr Mulroy's, a front room in the dwelling is used as a milkroom, and very dirty. M R Clay, City Health Officer: accompanied inspectors Seymour and Baker to cow paddocks and dairies.
