I did not expect such a use would require permission and applied after it was built and when so advised, sought your sanction by applicaton. Appearance of the City must zealously looked after, as this is at extremity of the City, Redfern Municipality on opposite side of street and with wood and iron building used as shops and dwellings, request this be admitted under S17. Not the loss of £25 but the inconvenience... if razed. Notes: HJD: City Surveyor: Council already decided this erection should not be allowed, walls on North and East must be brick to meet the Act.
