With reference to interview this morning, would you bring under notice of your Lighting Committee the necessity to erect an 80 candle power lamp at corner of Bent St, opposite the Govt Printing Office. At holiday times the traffic by tram etc. is great and a lamp will add to public safety. Would be pleased if it could be erected at once, and if Council will not bear whole expense, whether they will agree to pay half. Note: 1.HJD: 2. RWR: for Municipal purposes, this locality is sufficiently lighted, matter entirely for consideration of the Govt, and applicant should be advised to this effect. 3. JH: advise accordingly. 4. Inf'd.
