Unique IDFN-0028Description*** This function applies only to Sydney City Council ***
Representation by Councillors and Council officers on external committees. Most of these committees included representatives from Council and from other organisations, from the public and/or private sector.
The first such representation appears to have been two Committees associated with the First World War: the Lord Mayor's Patriotic Fund (essentially a citizens' committee) and the Advisory Committee on Military Convalescent Hospitals (established by the Commonwealth). Other examples include committees to organise events such as the Sydney Festival, and Sister City relationships between Sydney and foreign cities.
CA 47, Central Sydney Planning Committee, 1989+ is legally a Council committee not an external committee, though most members are not Council representatives.CreationSee agency registrations for individual Committees.AbolitionSee agency registrations for individual Committees.
