Before he submits a proposal to the Government for making some alteration at the Redfern Railway Station, he wants to find out if the Corporation would be willing to supply the necessary quantity of water for the use of the locomotive engines etc from their Botany Works, and if so at what rate. Their daily comsumption is nearly 30,000 gallons. There is a note by Edward Bell, the City Engineer that mentions that the rate is 7½ per ton by meter.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
