About this time last year he was in communication with the Council about street sweeping machines. He has supplied the principal cities of Victoria, South Australia, New Zealand and Tasmania - "giving universal satisfaction & great saving of labour keeping the streets clean". Appended is an advertisement for the sweeper, with a picture of it in action. It is made by William Smith & Sons, County of Durham.
