Two men are on the roof and two men, one wearing a hat and coat, are on the road. A sign on the upper storey balcony advertises; 'Will build on the site 46-66 or remodel buildings for tenant. Sidney Raper, 38 Martin Place'. On the ground level there are posters for performances at Town Hall, Daughter of Australia, Walter Brown's exhibition Palais de Danse, Vaudeville at Grand Opera House, Yvonne Pavis, and Wee Georgie Wood and Rose Lee Ivy Marzon and Florence at the Tivoli. A white picket fence has been installed to protect pedestrians. There are car parked on the street including a Buick Roadster.
