On the front, side, and upper windows of the building are signs for the business of: Stephen Clarke commercial stationery; The Weavo white ant and borer exterminator, F H Booth who was a wool buyer;
Kershaw, Martin and Company merchants; Yamashita Kisen Kaisha Limited Japanese steamship company; A R Wright and Company merchants. There are also numerous sale posters and signs due to moving. Hamilton Street is off to the left with a horse and cart at the curb in the distance. A Nash car and a Buick roadster are parked in the centre of Bridge Street. Beside a cabbage tree palm planted in a traffic island, is a horse drawn wagon with a man sitting on back next to a crate of Neptune Oil.
