The exterior of the building has signs for several businesses. At the far left on the side of the building are partially visible signs to businesses including Cole engineers. Around the corner of the building are posters for performances Little Nellie Kelly at the Grand Opera House, Bransby Williams at the Tivoli theatre, and Lowell James presents Climbing Everest at the New Palace Theatre. The front of the building has a painted sign for The Distillers Company Limited of Edinburgh. Beneath the window ledges are signs for Australian Optical, and above this on the upper levels are signs for W J Grant manufacturing jeweller and R C Alldritt blue prints, helios, and tracings and Sidney Syne signs, and Reynell wines. The building at the end of the lane at the far right has a sign for Gordon and Gotch who are at 123 Pitt Street.
